Leadership Skills for Experienced Managers and Supervisors
This course prepares participants to transition successfully into a managerial role developing knowledge and skills on those OPM Leadership competencies identified as priorities for managers and by focusing on development of plans for ongoing learning.
Priority competencies identified include:
· Strategic Thinking
· Leveraging Diversity
· Team Building and Collaboration
· Interpersonal Skills
This course is for experienced first and second-level supervisors and managers. The audience might also include others, such as program managers and leaders of virtual teams.
Advanced supervisory training is a supervisory refresher course to be taken every five years.
